Floris Jespers came from a Belgian family of artists. Both his father and brother are well-known sculptors. Floris Jespers studied painting at the Academy of Antwerp. Like many artists of his time, his earlier work was influenced by realism and impressionism, and later, the ongoing cubism and expressionism influenced him. Apart from painting he also committed himself to painting on glass, watercolors and etchings. His work can be found in all the major museums in Belgian.
