In the mid- to late sixties Harvey was highly regarded for his emphatic backgrounds and dreamy, recollected figures (New York Times Review, May 13, 1967). He was extensively exhibited, reviewed and collected by major museums such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Oakland Museum on the West Coast. He currently lives and works in Spain.
